Backport part of "videoaggregator: Fix locking around vagg->info" to 1.18

Backport part of !915 (merged) "videoaggregator: Fix locking around vagg->info".

This commit takes the two less risky changes from b3fe2d36, which should be enough to avoid the critical warning the race provokes, though not the race itself.
