[drm] *ERROR* AUX C/DDI C/PHY C: not done (status 0xac2003ff)

On booting b8647473 with my current two patches (compat_ioctl and @mlankhorst 's UAPI workup rev 1), instead of the usual displays coming on, the bootup display suspends itself and no displays come up. The kernel log is flooded with the subject notice. I'm currently booted into my previous successful (patched) build based on 3cf57993.

Oh, should I have posted the full inxi output like Mesa calls for? I completely dropped the ball on that one.

unfortunately, because we are still out of the tree, the bisect is hard (impossible?)... but I'd like to ask if there's still some point below the tree that you are still able to boot to a graphics with your+maarten's patches? Also, if I understood correctly without your patches on top, the branch itself is fine and booting to graphics, right?

It is probably deda064a ("fixup! drm/xe/display: Implement display support"), the only display related patch landed recently.

Indeed, building d600a3f5 with deda064a reverted (and the usual two patches applied) allows the system to boot to working displays.
