AMD Radeon RX 6600: No VRR available for LC34G55TWWPXEN monitor over DisplayPort cable

The display advertises itself to be FreeSync Premium compatible (the display even says it's on), however when using drm_info I can see it being not supported:

Edit:

I have to set the display port version to 1.2 from monitor settings (and enable freesync if not enabled) for it to work. If version is 1.4, the system can't find VRR.

Sounds similar to this bug #3059 . Switching your Monitor to DP1.2 from the support settings makes VRR detectable. In my case I found using a KVM would also be a good workaround if you need DP1.4.

Ah yes, that did it. Setting it to DP1.2 fixed the issue.
