Revert non-db commit. It seems than single-buffer mode are needed by @daenzer
I saw a report than EGL provider is not working correctly in some cases (likely no DRI3 or something other edge). - created an issue about this - xorg/driver/xf86-video-amdgpu#72 (closed).
But maybe we need a way to disable EGL provider for DDX which rely on DRI heavily?
