Draft: gitlab CI: add a basic build test

Attempts to build on Debian image, but fails due to use of MacOS-specific build flag from commit be972ebc.

Unfortunately, we have no MacOS templates yet in https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/freedesktop/ci-templates
