When '-a' option is used, invalid comments are generated

Description
According to xkbcomp's documentation:
-a Show all keyboard information, reporting implicit or derived information
as a comment. Only affects .xkb format output.
Since the option is specific for .xkb format which is supposed to be parsable by xkbcomp, the presumption is that when this option is used xkbcomp should be able to parse and load the output. But when '-a' is used, xkbcomp uses in some places C-style multiline comments (/* and */) which are not a valid for .xkb format. Example for an invalid output generated with the option is used:
virtual_modifiers NumLock/* = Mod2 */,Alt/* = Mod1 */,
LevelThree/* = Mod5 */,LAlt,RAlt,RControl,LControl,ScrollLock,LevelFive,
AltGr/* = Mod5 */,Meta/* = Mod1 */,Super/* = Mod4 */,Hyper/* = Mod4 */;
