specify "group1" when specifying a key type, condense, and improve comment

The first patch adds [group1] to four occurrenses of key.type=, otherwise the type could override the type of some keys of other groups.

The second patch makes the definitions of the function keys less verbose.

And the third patch condenses and improves an obsolete comment about a special key type.
