Russian (Germany, phonetic) and other layouts confuse Y and Z on Ubuntu 18.04
The German layout is QWERTZ, I would expect that Z
is mapped to З
, but it's mapped to Ы
on my system (the phonetic equivalent of Y
). I fixed it on my system by interchanging LatY
and LatZ
in symbols/de
, e.g. here:
I see that LatY
are mapped to AB01
or AD06
depending on QWERTZ-ness here:
I'm not sure if this is a problem specific to Ubuntu or to my Ubuntu system (I have a de
keyboard layout as system default), or if symbols/de
is just missing an include directive or something. Would it be safer to just use A*##
aliases instead of Lat?
. Please advise.
