Monitor can't go in stanby when in "Auto" mode
Hello, I have a Intel NUC (12th gen) and Wayland keeps the monitor always on.
I say "Wayland" because on X11 and Windows everything works fine. I've tested Fedora Gnome and Kubuntu (both on Wayland) and the monitor tries to go in standby mode but immediately wakes up. On X11 everything work as expected: the monitor goes in standby.
After some testing it seems due to the monitor "Auto" mode (the monitor automatically detects the source input). If I disable the Auto mode and force the monitor to use HDMI source, the monitor can go in standby as expected.
Considering that:
- "Auto" mode works fine on X11
- "Auto" mode works fine on Windows
- "HDMI-only" mode works fine on Wayland
I can suppose that the problem is some kind of conflict between Wayland and the "Auto" mode. Maybe the monitor "Auto" mode sends a particular signal that triggers Wayland? Is this possible?
