`powerprofilesctl get` can hang and cause python to spin and eat considerable CPU
At least once a day, some python process has been spinning and burning CPU. Today I decided to look at what it was.
It's powerprofilesctl get
, that I run in a loop for my waybar.
So, I tried this, went to have dinner. I return and sure enough, I'm staring at a line that says "17:57:25" (it's 18:54 now) and my laptop fans are going.
#/usr/bin/env nu
loop { echo "go"; date now | print; powerprofilesctl get; sleep 1sec; }
