Dell Inspiron 15 7559 "Bass Speaker" Misconfigured
Summary
On the Dell Inspiron 15 7559 Laptop, PulseAudio treats the "Master", "PCM", and "Bass Speaker" channels as one device. In reality, the "Master" and "PCM" channels are one device, and the "Bass Speaker" is a separate one.
So when pulseaudio sets the volume to anything but 0%, it sets the "Bass Speaker" to full volume.
Additionally, due to a hardware issue (also), setting the "Bass Speaker" channel to higher volumes causes an unpleasant hissing noise.
environment
Will include pa-info, but this occurs on any recent version of pulseaudio on the Dell Inspiron 15 7559 Laptop.
Steps to reproduce
Set the volume using pulseaudio to anything other than 0%
