Port not switching back to speaker once switched to headphone
Summary
Arch Linux recently released an update going from commit daf3a3c4 to d83ad699 and since when I plug headphones in and later unplug headphones, audio is no longer coming from speakers unless I manually select it back to speakers but then this repeats again later
environment
I've attached a file pa-info.txt
Steps to reproduce
- Login from tty
- Run startx ( I'm using LXQt ), Pulseaudio is started automatically after this
- Play some audio and you'll hear audio from laptop speakers
- Plug headphones in and you'll hear audio from headphones
- Unplug headphones and you don't hear audio from speakers
What is the current bug behavior?
When Pulseaudio starts, Audio is configured to go out on "Speakers" which is my laptop speakers. When I plug in my headphones, audio is configured to go out on "Headphones (plugged in)" but later I unplug my headphones and no audio is coming out from the laptop speakers. I go into my audio controls and can see that it's on the headphones still but says "Headphones (unplugged)", right there I have to switch it back to "Speakers" to get audio from my laptop speakers again
What is the expected correct behavior?
After pulseaudio has started
If the headphones are already plugged in, the port should be configured to "Headphones (plugged in)" If the headphones are not plugged in, the port should switch to "Speakers" At later times if I plug my headphones in, the port should switch to "Headphones (plugged in)" Then later after unpluggin the port should switch to "Speakers"
