Description
Currently if there are problems booting the system we throw the unsuspecting user to detailed logs, diagnostic information, and initramfs prompts. In particular, while trying to install F16 I was rebooted into the dracut prompt.
I think ideally it would be best to hard fail boot unless the user booted in a diagnostic mode (perhaps by holding down Control-D or similar). In the short term perhaps we can have a plymouth version of the "sad computer" splash. Perhaps technical users can by pass the screen by pressing escape to see the diagnostic information.
