Created attachment 76283 Patch to use login-session-start in preference to naming all the daemons themselves
At the moment plymouth stop lists all the display managers that it knows about in plymouth-stop.upstart (and ignores some of them because they stop plymouth themselves) this is a little silly.
Most display managers publish login-session-start events via upstart, code would be more pluggable if you used this event to stop plymouth.
I was motivated to look at this because I wanted to make slim stop plymouth on starting.
