Bluetooth is not default after reconnecting it, despite explicitly setting it default

Bluetooth Radio, Bluetooth Headset, Desktop Environment, Distribution, Version (Bluez, Kernel, and PipeWire):

  • Radio: 8087:0a2b Intel Corp. Bluetooth wireless interface
  • Headset: Sony WH1000XM3
  • DE: xfce4
  • Pipewire version: master, 8fd120cb23e5fb00e4d1936af2cf80238b9f67d2 (2021-01-29 17:23:02 +0100)
  • Bluez: 5.55-1
  • Linux: Arch, 5.10.10-zen1-1-zen
  • Build command:
arch-meson $pkgbase build -D docs=true -D udevrulesdir=/usr/lib/udev/rules.d -D gstreamer=true -D ffmpeg=true;
meson compile -C build

Description of Problem: Bluetooth device

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Set BT headset as default output sink in pavucontrol
  2. Power off BT headset
  3. Power on BT headset

Actual Results:

  • Device is not default anymore, "Built-in Audio Analog Stereo" is default.

Expected Results:

  • Device is default sink.
