PipeWire doesn't seem to read (or override) user configuration directory (~/.config/pipewire-media-session/)
While wiki configuration section describes that "These files should also be able to be moved to ~.config/pipewire-media-session/media-session.d
" it doesn't seem to be true, or it doesn't work as I would expect it to. I didn't "move", I copied these files, so they would override defaults from /etc/pipewire/media-session.d
. AFAIK the purpose of files in ~/.config
(or $XDG_CONFIG_HOME, if assigned) is to override system-wide configuration (if such exists) if specific software being ran as a user (this user can be root, but then the path will be /root/.config
). And it seems appropriate to include pipewire.conf (/etc/pipewire/pipewire.conf
)
