Plugging/unplugging a headphone to the onboard card jack causes bad side effects
I have a system with an onboard card Realtek ALC1220
and a hdmi card ATI R6xx HDMI
.
So far I have noticed the following problems when a headphone is connected or removed to/from my onboard card jack:
1. When the headphone is plugged in the onboard card the audio is played on the hdmi card instead of the headphone. The sound only goes to the headphone if the hdmi card is disabled.
2. When the headphone is removed from the card jack the card sink is automatically muted. What probably isn't the intended behavior.
3. When the sound card sink is recreated after removing the headphone its volume is reset to 100 %.
4. When only the onboard card is enabled and the headphone is removed while mpv is playing something it stutters and does not play anymore.
This is the output of pw-dump
without the headphone

And this is the output with it plugged pw_dump_headphone.txt
