Description of Problem:
When a Windows application (all games I've tested, in this case Overwatch) is started through Wine (or Proton) and starts outputting audio by itself, the audio is extremely digitally distorted to the point of being unrecognizable from the original.
Interestingly, when the same application is started while another native application (browser playing a video) is already outputting audio, the audio suffers no distortion and keeps playing as normal, even after the originally audio playing application quits.
How Reproducible:
Happens 100% of the time for me.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Use Steam to run a Windows game through Proton (Overwatch, Cyberpunk 2077, etc). I've tried Proton 8.0 and Experimental, both have the same issue. The same goes for applications ran through Bottle (Wine Staging).
Actual Results:
Audio comes out digitally distorted.
Expected Results:
Audio should suffer no distortion.
