Audio briefly cutting out when multiple streams start playing
- PipeWire version (
pipewire --version
): libpipewire 1.0.0 - Distribution and distribution version (
PRETTY_NAME
from/etc/os-release
): Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS - Desktop Environment: Xfce
- Kernel version (
uname -r
): 6.2.0-37-generic
Description of Problem:
I have music on the background all the time and sometimes I also watch some videos. After switching to PipeWire, audio playback is usually briefly interrupted by launching any video (sometimes it's fine, though). Tweaking config files didn't help me. journalctl doesn't show any errors related to PipeWire. Also, I was able to reproduce this issue on two another PCs with different sound cards and Linux distros. Switching back to PulseAudio works as a workaround.
How Reproducible:
Often.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Start playback from the first source (audio player, for instance)
- Start playback from the second source (video player, for instance)
Actual Results:
Audio playback from the first source may be interrupted briefly.
Expected Results:
There shouldn't be any interruptions.
