hdmi/displayport audio shows as not available after wake from suspend
- PipeWire version (
pipewire --version
): 1.0.0 - Distribution and distribution version (
PRETTY_NAME
from/etc/os-release
): Ubuntu Noble Numbat (development branch) - Desktop Environment: Ubuntu GNOME
- Kernel version (
uname -r
): 4.9.140-l4t
Description of Problem:
After a suspend/wake cycle the hdmi/displayport audio disappears as an option in GUI sound options. the output of pactl list
and similar shows output:hdmi-stereo: Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output (sinks: 1, sources: 0, priority: 5900, available: no)
when in fact it is available. Restarting pipewire fixes it with systemctl --user restart pipewire.service
. There were no issues with pulseaudio on older ubuntu releases with the same kernel/driverstack.
How Reproducible:
Every time. The issues occurs regardless of whether HDMI is currently connected before suspend or not. After a suspend/wake, HDMI audio is always shown as unavailable.
