Comet Lake PCH-LP cAVS audio playback stops functioning
I'm not sure what happened but sometime before a recentish gnome upgrade came in. I updated and my sound stopped work. After doing a little playing around, it only stops working after I try to use it in a browser (firefox, and opera). There may be other ways but if I use gnome's audio test before visiting youtube, for example, the sound test buttons work fine. If I do it after those have stopped working. This makes no sense to me.
logging out and back in seems to reset the session to defaults, which fixes it, although why defaults? it's no longer what's configured (like audio volume).
At l after I do a systemctl --user restart pipewire
, things are working as normal... for now. Certainly something I don't want to always have to do though. Has to be done periodically. Seems like anytime I stop playing sound for a minute. I checked that the process is still running, there's no crash.
I've tried switching from media session to wireplumber, but that didn't help.
