Description of Problem:
When I watch videos with mpv today, I found the audio sound funny. I switched my headsets but both of them sounds the same (WH-1000XM3 and XM5). Then I tried to play the same music on youtube with firefox, but that one sounds correct. Then I downloaded https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fMi070Fulw with youtubedl and play with mpv/vlc, the same noisy sound happened again. Then I tried to convert the audio from Opus to mp3 with ffmpeg
ffmpeg -i input.webm -vn output.mp3
and replay the out put mp3, but this time the audio sounds normal. Use ao=alsa in mpv instead of pipewire also works. Is it possible there is something wrong with the pipewire?
How Reproducible:
Steps to Reproduce:
- download https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fMi070Fulw with youtubedl, select Opus format
- play it with mpv/vlc with ao=pipewire flag
Actual Results:
broken sound
Expected Results:
normal sound
