Wireplumber failed to compile
Following the install instructions at https://pipewire.pages.freedesktop.org/wireplumber/installing-wireplumber.html note for note:
- ran meson setup --prefix=/usr build
- ran meson compile -C build
- ran ninja -C build install
ninja appears to complete its install, found file structure completed at /usr/share/wireplumber
running "wireplumber" in terminal outputs: Failed to compile: [string "00-functions.lua"]:1: unexpected symbol near '..'
When running "systemctl --user --now enable wireplumber" or automatically through pipewire.conf, the wireplumber process fails to start, I don't see it in my list of processes, and the output of journalctl --user-unit=wireplumber is as follows
May 28 21:00:45 systemd[1595]: Started Multimedia Service Session Manager. May 28 21:00:45 wireplumber[10130]: Failed to compile: [string "00-functions.lua"]:1: unexpected symbol near '..' May 28 21:00:45 systemd[1595]: wireplumber.service: Scheduled restart job, restart counter is at 1.
Makes 6 attempts to start the daemon in total, but fails with the same "failed to compile" message each time
