Any action on YouTube window causes Application volume to be set to zero

Description of Problem:
When listening to a YouTube video, any action on the YouTube window -- start or stop video, change settings, video automatically starts the next video, etc. -- resets the Application volume (under the Applications tab) to zero. It must manually be reset to hear an audio.
How Reproducible:
This happens every time for me, but I'm guessing that it's not a widespread problem.

Any action in browser window resets Application volume to zero
Expected Results:
No action in the browser window should cause the overall application volume to change.
