Description of Problem:
Similar to #2121 (closed) but problem persists after trying given solution.
Low volume output playing E-AC-3 videos through Jellyfin on Firefox and VLC, mpv as well
Streaming sites like Youtube or Netflix are not affected by this volume bug.
This has only been tested using standard stereo audio equipment (laptop speakers and headphones).
How Reproducible:
Playing videos on Jellyfin on a browser, or using VLC and other media players, the volume output is very low.
Proposed solution
Changing channelmix.normalize = true
to false
on client.conf
and client-rt.conf
then restarting pipewire with systemctl --user restart pipewire pipewire-pulse
.
The low output volume still persists.
Current solution
Downgrade to 0.3.38
