'autoconnect' to arbitrary Jack node instead of default soundcard?
Hallo,
i have set 'node.autoconnect' to 'false' and 'jack.self-connect-mode = ignore-external' and handle all new connections manually with external autoconnector 'jack-matchmaker'. This makes it mandatory to setup/add every new applications in the autoconnector for later auto connection.
The intention is to get the sound passed through a custom graph set up in Carla. Or in other words, to prevent Jack/Pipewire to auto-connect to the soundcard in the first place. I'm not aware of any other method to do this.
I have to admit that's not the best solution indeed. Would it be possible to use a different node as default instead of the soundcard? That would make things a alot easier. Say, the one below.
$ pw-cli ls Node
[...]
id 81, type PipeWire:Interface:Node/3
client.id = "104"
node.description = "Stereo Routing"
node.name = "Stereo Routing"
media.type = "Audio"
media.category = "Duplex"
media.role = "DSP"
ArchLinux 5.11.16
Pipewire 0.3.26
