Application pacing issues
The current pacing results in visibly worse performance in some applications than with U_PACING_APP_USE_MIN_FRAME_PERIOD=1
.
Some affected applications:
- BeamNG.drive (native linux binary from Steam (included in the windows version))
- reportedly vrchat with proton (?)
The best solution is a good self-tuning behavior (maybe #91).
But even with the best solution, the pacing code should try to run applications with the least visible stutter possible.
