Only background image visible with HTC vive on NixOS
Hello,
I seem to have a Problem similar to #130 (closed)
monado just shows as solid gray through the VR eyes as I move the headset around
@georgewsinger have you been able to solve this issue?
When I start monado-service
everything looks good. I either get the output (grey background) on the connected HTC vive with XRT_COMPOSITOR_FORCE_RANDR=1
or in a separate window (that also shows the goggle-like outline) with XRT_COMPOSITOR_FORCE_XCB=1
. I then start xrgears
in a separate terminal window, but nothing shows up on the output, it continues showing the grey background.

I've also tried the same with the HMD disconnected as well as with the HMD connected but monado configured to use the "remote" builder via the config file. xrgears
works fine then, the window doesn't show the goggle-like black outline though, just rectangular images for both eyes. I can also adjust the perspective via monado-gui --remote
.
The sensors-readout
binary from the libsurvive
package shows some IMU data that seams reasonable (as in values change when I move the HMD)
