aco: add more anonymous namespaces/static
Looks like there were a few places where people didn't make functions static because they assumed the anonymous namespace would take care of it, but that namespace didn't actually exist.
Due to an influx of spam, we have had to impose restrictions on new accounts. Please see this wiki page for instructions on how to get full permissions. Sorry for the inconvenience.
