GPU hangs on Dell XPS 9300 (i915 0000:00:02.0: Resetting rcs0 for preemption time out)
Filing a new bug as per the instructions from dmesg.
I experience this bug across a range of kernels:
- linux-image-5.0.0-1037-oem-osp1/eoan-updates,eoan-security,now 5.0.0-1037.42 (Ubuntu 18.04 LTS)
- linux-image-5.3.0-42-generic/eoan-updates,eoan-security,now 5.3.0-42.34 (Ubuntu 19.10)
- linux-image-5.4.0-18-generic/focal,now 5.4.0-18.22 (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS)
- linux-image-unsigned-5.6.0-994-generic/now 5.6.0-994.202003152208 (drm-tip @ a2faaa4efc0224adb34e6ba8aa8bf1d2fabf6413)
The issue is very sporadic and seems to mostly manifest itself, when I am using Evolution (I know, right?). It also seems to be more frequent, when I am on battery.
