[radeon] fails to allocate a buffer of size 0
Hi,
I'm using the oibaf PPA which is mesa 20.0 git compiled with LLVM 9.0.0 on Radeon HD 5850. In some previous versions the VDPAU worked nicely, however now the output of vdpauinfo
is
display: :1 screen: 0
radeon: Failed to allocate a buffer:
radeon: size : 0 bytes
radeon: alignment : 4096 bytes
radeon: domains : 4
radeon: flags : 20
radeon: Failed to allocate a buffer:
radeon: size : 0 bytes
radeon: alignment : 4096 bytes
radeon: domains : 4
radeon: flags : 20
Error creating VDPAU device: 23
and there are also, I believe, related messages in dmesg:
[ 205.868571] [drm:radeon_gem_object_create [radeon]] *ERROR* Failed to allocate GEM object (0, 6, 4096, -22)

It seems to be the same issue as in the pretty old and by now closed bug 82162.
