Thinkpad trackpoint buttons (3 buttons above touchpad) consistently stop working after a while (T480)
Summary
On my Thinkpad T480 the trackPoint buttons (3 physical buttons for right, middle and left click above the touchpad) consistently stop working after a while. This happens on both Ubuntu (Gnome) and Manjaro (xfce).
This is temporarily solved by:
echo -n "none" | sudo tee /sys/bus/serio/devices/serio1/drvctl
echo -n "reconnect" | sudo tee /sys/bus/serio/devices/serio1/drvctl
