Tap-to-click dropout - Thinkpad X1C6
Everything works almost perfect in regard to touchpad and libinput on Lenovo Thinkpad X1C6 but there is one issue that I would like to report. However, I am not 100% sure it is related to libinput but even though I am giving it a shot.
I am using tapping instead of "hardware click". It works well almost the whole time but sometimes tapping is not longer recognized/recorded until I write something in terminal (it is enough to call "ls").
I am using ubuntu 18.04 with kernel 4.17.2 right now and libinput compiled from sources 734496d9
udevadm_info.log xinput.log modalias.log
I am not able to use libinput-record because as soon as I try to record anything the tapping works again (as I said - it is restored by executing any command in terminal).
The issue is confirmed by at least two other people from archlinux forum: link.
What is so strange to me is that nobody seems to be able to reproduce the tap-to-click dropout, which is happening all the time for me.
You are not alone. Happens with me all the time. Thanks for sharing tips. It's really handy.
I am open to any suggestions.
