[ASUS Zenbook UX303UB] Focaltech PS/2 Touchpad Multi touch jumping (on ubuntu 23.04 xorg || wayland)
Summary
After upgrading my ASUS UX303UB to latest Ubnutu 23.04 (lunar lobster), multi touch of my Focaltech touchpad has started working erraticly. The problem happens when two or more fingers are detected on the
Steps to reproduce
- Install Ubuntu 23.04 or use LiveCD on Asus UX303UB (or similar model using FocalTech touchpad)
- Using the touchpad, with two fingers, scroll up or down as you would normally scroll
- Notice the cursor fast jumping to the top/right of the screen almost instantaneously
Required information
(Ubuntu does not provide a newer version than 1.22.1, so I could not reproduce on newer versions, seems that fedora 38 uses 1.23.0 with newer kernel, but I could not reproduce on its live CD)
- libinput version: 1.22.1
- hardware information: FocalTechPS/2 Touchpad
