gdm hangs when revealing login prompt after suspend
- Fedora 35
- fprintd 1.92.0
On F35, gdm always hangs after suspend for ~5 seconds, once I reveal the password prompt. Before I reveal the field (on the clock screen), I can interact with the drop-downs etc. just fine. This wasn't the case in F34. Anyone having an idea what's going on there?
Once I uninstall fprintd the problem goes away.
I find the following in the fprintd journal (once for every suspend cycle)
Okt 23 15:30:12 p14s-gen2-amd systemd[1]: Starting Fingerprint Authentication Daemon...
Okt 23 15:30:21 p14s-gen2-amd fprintd[85296]: Failed to open /sys/bus/usb/devices/5-3/power/persist
Okt 23 15:30:22 p14s-gen2-amd systemd[1]: Started Fingerprint Authentication Daemon.
Okt 23 15:30:56 p14s-gen2-amd systemd[1]: fprintd.service: Deactivated successfully.
However, in the user session I can then cat /sys/bus/usb/devices/5-3/power/persist
just fine (result is 1
).
