Problems with pam_fprintd.so
I'm experiencing auth errors with pam_fprintd.so
.
This is my /etc/pam.d/sudo configuration:
$ cat /etc/pam.d/sudo
#%PAM-1.0
auth sufficient pam_fprintd.so
auth include system-auth
account include system-auth
session include system-auth
This should ask me to scan my fingerprint when i use sudo, and it should work when i scan the right finger. But after recent updates, when I put my right finger on the scanner, it give following output:
$ sudo -i
Place your finger on the fingerprint reader
Failed to match fingerprint
Place your finger on the fingerprint reader
Place your finger on the reader again
Verification timed out
I confirmed that the device is working fine by using fprintd-verify:
$ fprintd-verify
Using device /net/reactivated/Fprint/Device/0
Listing enrolled fingers:
- #0: right-index-finger
Verify started!
Verifying: right-index-finger
Verify result: verify-match (done)
