releases: remove ancient releases from web page, and other removals of old stuff

Tim-Philipp Müller requested to merge tpm/www:releases-clear-out-old into main

Not sure there's much value keeping these around, anyone who needs to know details about 10+ year old releases can find this in git, tarballs or mailing list archives, and 99% of these release pages is the same boilerplate text with just a few bullet points that vary from release to release.

This is mostly about all those old releases generated from XML templates (vs. the single-page release notes we started using from 1.6 onwards).

All these generated pages like e.g. https://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/releases/gst-plugins-base/0.10.5.html (web archive mirror for future reference: https://web.archive.org/https://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/releases/gst-plugins-base/0.10.5.html)

Old news entries have been updated to point to the respective pages on the web.archive.org for now, so we don't have to decide whether to remove old entries from the news file just yet.

Making a start on getting rid of old cruft.
