Issue with page "Download GStreamer"

Hi All Wonder if you could help me please. I am a newbie so please forgive my ignorance. I have downloaded gstreamer on my Macbook pro. The files have been downloaded but when I use the command gst-inspect-1.0 the shell says command not found. But when I download gstreamer using Homebrew and enter the same command, all works fine. Can you help please? harriso32001@yahoo.co.uk Thanks in advance
