gst-template or gst-plugins-bad/tools/gst-project-maker, which one to use?

Hi,

I'm new to gst plugin/element development and I'm confused to create a new project for gst.

It seems that this repo (gst-template) can be used to create a new project: copy the whole project source files, use the tool to create new element, then the project is built with meson.

It also seems that https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gst-plugins-bad/tools/gst-project-maker can do the similar job: use tool to create a project first, then use tool again to create element.

I compared the project structure and source code, it's different. I can't say which is more up to date or complete.

So my question is: which one should I choose as an inexperienced gstreamer element developer?
