request for hosting CplusPie
C+Pie is an embryonic shared 'synthetic' user environment written in C++. A user has an point of view in a 3D space so that he sees the objects which are in front of him. The view is in perspective and the objects farther away appear smaller. His desktop is a collection of objects usually placed at short distance before him and bound to his point of view so that the whole can be moved together. A way to interact with an other user is to bring the points of views in proximity and showing in a same direction so that one will also see the desktop of the other. Anyone can interact with any object. For example, if someone open a pdf viewer, which is shipped as demo client of C+Pie, the others can see it, move it and browse the document as well. This is the intended way of working of C+Pie. On the other hand, every user has the full control of the objects he creates so that he can restrict the informations they emit as well as well as the informations they receive at his convenience.
C+Pie run on X11, the framebuffer and weston at the same time.
C+Pie is its own development environment. A user can change the code of its C+Pie installation and by a relaunch mechanism restart the new version while the others are connected.
C+Pie is distributed. The intranet and remote switches are applications and in fact normal clients of C+Pie: a network can be deployed starting from any installation of C+Pie.
Two C+Pie networks can be connected while up.
From fd.o CplusPie uses the development files of wayland, weston, X11 and freetype, poppler and the format for video capture is Weston's WCAP. A roadmap is on http://cpluspie.com. C+Pie may be a solution to network transparency for wayland.
