[GF108M] MMIO FAULT and ce: init failed on 5.12-rc8

  • Kernel: 5.12-rc8
  • Mesa: Mesa 20.3.4
  • GPU: NVIDIA Corporation GF108M [NVS 5400M] (rev a1)
  • issue since (if known): 50551b15

With kernel 5.12-rc8, dmesg includes the following error messages not present with 5.11:

nouveau 0000:01:00.0: bus: MMIO read of 00000000 FAULT at 0212cc [ PRIVRING ]
nouveau 0000:01:00.0: bus: MMIO write of ffffffff FAULT at 103014 [ PRIVRING ]
nouveau 0000:01:00.0: ce: ucode exceeds falcon limit(s)
nouveau 0000:01:00.0: ce: init failed, -22

Bisection revealed that the error messages first appeared in 50551b15.

I have not noticed any issues beyond the messages. (Not sure if there's anything specific I should look for.) Reporting so you are aware and to help investigate if warranted.
