Admin message
The migration is almost done, at least the rest should happen in the background. There are still a few technical difference between the old cluster and the new ones, and they are summarized in this issue. Please pay attention to the TL:DR at the end of the comment.
Project 'drm/intel' was moved to 'drm/i915/kernel'. Please update any links and bookmarks that may still have the old path.
igt@kms_dp_aux_dev - skip - Test requirement: valid_connectors, Bad file descriptor, SKIP
As per assessment from Nidhi Gupta given below, this is a valid skip for DSI panels, as there are no DPCD registers.
@l4kshmi We need to have a filter for these and have them as expected discards, as the test is not applicable for DSI panels. This is true for other platforms as well.
Assessment:
What the test does:
The test igt@kms_dp_aux_dev is to test that /dev/drm_dp_aux reads work for reading DPCD registers using AUX channel. First step in this test is to check if this DP aux channel is connected before continuing tests and then we just try to read 16 bytes from each connector's aux device, and if successful we do a few quick sanity checks on the data
The issue:
The test is trying to connect on all the three aux channels available but failing because of timed out issue. It means aux channel is not active.
/dev/drm_dp_aux0: timed out
/dev/drm_dp_aux1: timed out
/dev/drm_dp_aux2: timed out

/dev/drm_dp_aux1: timed out
/dev/drm_dp_aux2: timed out
Test requirement not met in function __real_main105, file ../tests/kms_dp_aux_dev.c:118:
Test requirement: valid_connectors

SKIP (5.982s)
Given that only MIPI DSI panel is connected, and this test is trying to read dpcd registers, and DSI pannel no DPCD registers are available, its not able to read from DPCD regs and failing as seen from the logs.

Reproducible: fi-tgl-DSI it seems to be reproducible 100% time.with tgl-u the test seems to be passing as eDP is connected its able to read the DPCDregisters.
