[DSI to eDP adapter] i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* DSI link not ready
There are a few handheld devices that I thought might have been wired up directly without an adapter, but with new information with the Aya Neo Air (INTEL) variant I'm told that this device does have a MiPi to eDP adapter that is known to be compatible with Linux with the AMD 6800U version.
So this leads me to here to ask questions about this to see if this indeed a possibility? I don't have access to this device directly so I'm not able to do testing myself yet, but I do have another unit that is advertised as a DSI that might be a similar situation.
This is a journal dump with the drm debug enabled so hopefully this helps us make sense of this.
The two problems created by this has been a display that won't turn on and compositors that expect hardware rotation support (gamescope) fail when you need to rotate the portrait display. This has never been an issue with AMD hardware thus far, it's always been intel units that fail.
Thanks in advance!
