External monitor no output signal despite detection

Connecting any monitor (tested with 2, both functioning on Windows partition) via HDMI on a Framework laptop (x86_64) leads to monitor detection but no output signal.

DistroRelease: Ubuntu 22.04 Package: xorg 1:7.7+23ubuntu2 Uname: Linux 5.19.0-051900-generic x86_64

Attached full dmesg with drm.debug=0x1e log_buf_len=8M. Notable is "[drm] ERROR Link Training Unsuccessful"
