i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] GPU HANG: ecode 7:1:85ddfffd - mpv only
This is a strange one. The GPU works everywhere as expected (browser videos, compositing, compiz, glxgears), but when I enable a scale filter in mpv (e.g. scale=ewa_lanczossharp) I get the hang. The system freezes for around half a minute and resumes normally, except I can only play videos with '-vo x11' and all 3D freezes. My mpv config also specifies 'hwdec=no'.
Hardware: Dell Precision M4800, no discrete GPU, i7-4810MQ Haswell, 4th Gen integrated graphics controller.
Using Artix Linux with intel-media-driver-20.3.0, xf86-video-intel-2.99.917+908+g7181c5a4 and mpv-0.32.0 on kernel 5.9.8-ck. The issue wasn't present in 4.20.14-ck (long time no update, used hibernation). It seems similar to #2024 (closed) and #2580 (closed), however it's not triggered simply by starting Xorg or a DE, it's only happening with mpv's scale filters.
