i915 driver hangs kernel at boot on Comet Lake iGPU
Booting with loglevel=7
, I see that the last message printed to the console before things hang is i915 0000:00:02.0: enabling device (0000 -> 0003)
. I'm using Void Linux with kernel 5.19.9 currently, but I first noticed this issue on 5.18.17. The previous kernel I was using, 5.18.11, did not have this issue. Hardware-wise, I'm using an i3-10100 which has a UHD 630 iGPU, with a Gigabyte B560M DS3H V2 motherboard. I'm also using a GTX 750Ti with nvidia's proprietary driver, but would like to keep my iGPU active since the hardware codecs on the 750Ti are fairly limited. I can't really attach a relevant dmesg
output considering I can't get the system to boot with the relevant hardware enabled, but if there's any other information I can provide, just let me know.
