Full OS crash when using media source
Brief summary of the problem:
I'm trying to use a media source inside of OBS. (video on loop) What happens is that after a while (depends on video) amdgpu crashes and takes the whole OS down. Using VAAPI as both stream/recorder encoder.
Hardware description:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X
- GPU: Radeon RX 6700 (non XT)
- System Memory: 32GB DDR4 3600MT
- Display(s): 1x 27' 2k 165Hz Dell monitor, 1x 24' 1080p 165Hz Dell monitor
- Type of Display Connection: 2x DP, HDMI going from/to capture card
System information:
- Distro name and Version: Garuda Linux
- Kernel version :Linux markisha 6.12.6-zen1-1-zen #1 (closed) ZEN SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu, 19 Dec 2024 21:28:56 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux
How to reproduce the issue:
- Use Media source inside of OBS (video)
- stream/record for long enough (one video takes ~48 mins to crash, the other one ~60 mins)
