Alienware AW2723DF: Freesync/VRR option not avaliable when overclocked (through monitor OSD) to 280hz
Brief summary of the problem:
Both X11 and Wayland under KDE show this monitor as vrr/freesync incapable and cannot be enabled when the monitor is overclocked to 280hz. While the monitor is overclocked, setting the refresh rate to 240hz still shows it as vrr incompatible. When turning off the overclock in monitor OSD and setting it to 240hz, both X11 and Wayland work with vrr as usual.
Testing this in Windows 11, the monitor overclocked to 280hz works as expected with vrr.
