Vega 64 / Radeon 680M AMDGPU failed to write reg Freeze/Stutter
Since last Thursday 18.01.2024, AMDGPU throws errors and the system freezes randomly when movin or manipulating windows. Most notably also, the system freezes most of the times on a cold boot during SDDM loading. On that Day, Arch updated the Linux-Firmware package to the 15.01.2024 version. I tried Linux 6.7, 6.7.1, 6.7.2 and Linux 6.8 RC. I also tried linux-firmware-git, which updated the Firmware for the GPUs. The issue, at least for now, can not be reproduced using Fedora 39 with the 6.6.13 kernel. The issues happen on both, Desktop and Laptop. The issue happens on SwayWM, KDE Plasma and Gnome.
DMESG log will be provided shortly.
EDIT: DMESG Outputlog.txt Line 1149 is the error. The error count will grow over time with the same error message, with each system freeze. Sometimes the OS freezes completely, so only a force reboot helps.
EDIT2:
log2.txt I have set different Kernel flags (turning IOMMU off and amdgpu.noretry=0 which i found on older issues with the same symptoms.Still fails.)
Issue reported on CachyOS.
System Information: Both Systems run Arch Linux with all available Updates applied. I also tried CachyOS, which use Arch Linux packages with optimized comilation flags.
