[amdgpu 6.3.6 dmub_psr.c:226 dmub_psr_enable] Random start of flashing and pixelated screen on AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 7840U w/ Radeon 780M Graphics
Brief summary of the problem:
The screen starts to pixelate with flash. This seems to appear randomly, but quite often (everyday). This appears more often on the internal screen. But also rarely on the external one. It is not clear at all, in which circumstances it starts. When flash starts, a way to stop it, is to kill the X-session (e.g. Ctrl-Alt-Suppr).
I have looked at dmesg
on the three last time, and it indicates an issue on
/var/lib/dkms/amdgpu/6.3.6-1697589.22.04/build/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/dce/dmub_psr.c:226 dmub_psr_enable+0xf8/0x110 [amdgpu]
In the source code, this line corresponds to an ASSERT(0)
with dmub_psr_enable
function.
